Workspace
A two-panel studio for long-form writing over the same Locker on disk. Open it from the Mac app — no cloud account, no second store of truth.
Capture and Think fit a compact native window. Heavy drafting needs more space. Workspace is the wide canvas: living document on the left, Plan with AI (MiLo) on the right, search across your notes in the top bar. Same files agents attach to via MCP.
Open Workspace
In the Mac app, click Workspace. A dedicated window opens, served only while the app is running. A one-time session token is in the URL — do not share it.
If the app quits, the session goes offline. Reopen Workspace from the app to get a fresh session.
Layout
- Living document — the markdown you are shipping. Editable anytime.
- Plan with AI (MiLo) — draft, outline, or rewrite in conversation. Document updates apply on the left when MiLo uses a DOCUMENT block.
- Search locker (⌘K) — open any note from the same folder Capture uses.
- Save to Locker — smart filename + auto-tags, same conventions as Capture. Overwrites use Versioned Save.
- Voice — mic for one-shot dictation, or MiLo voice mode for continuous conversation.
API key
When you open Workspace from the app, your Think API key is shared into the session. You should not need to paste it again. The status pill shows Connected when the key is live.
MiLo can pull relevant notes from the whole Locker (not only the open document), so questions stay grounded in your files. Product questions about Markdown Locker itself use built-in product knowledge — not a random note summary.
Still local-first
Notes live in ~/Documents/Markdown Locker (or your existing folder).
Workspace is chrome on those files — never a second database.
